Brazil

One Dollar. One Tree.

Brazil is known for its rich ecological diversity, particularly for its tropical rainforests, which cover a large part of the country. Plant trees in Brazil to restore vital forest and promote biodiversity. Learn more

With your help, we will:

  • Support habitats and promote biodiversity
  • Restore forests and improve water and air quality
  • Educate children about biodiversity and forest conservation
  • Brazil is home to varied and vast landscapes. Known for dense forests, Brazil also has the world's largest jungle in the north with dry grasslands, rugged hills, and pine forests in the south. Centuries of deforestation for timber, sugar cane, coffee, cattle ranching, and urban sprawl have contributed to the current lack of tree cover in the many of these areas. Planting trees across Brazil is crucial to help promote the biodiversity and improve the forest coverof these vast landscapes.
  • With such rich biodiversity and different ecosystems, planting trees will help support the habitats of these lands and promote biodiversity by contributing to the restoration of a critically endangered biome like the Atlantic Forest. Reforestation will also directly impact the protection of water resources, helping local communities and protecting rivers. Environmental recovery will also help take place through soil conservation and revegetating areas for local fauna. Planting trees will help make a major impact across Brazil.
  • A personalized tree certificate (see gallery) to say thanks for your donation. We’ll also send you reports on our Brazil project, so you can track the impact your trees are having on the community and environment.
  • To maximize the impact of your donation, our partner will plant over 100 tree species native to Brazil, including Ficus clusiifolia, Eugenia florida, Persea americana, and much more!

Why Plant in Brazil?

Protect Wildlife Habitat

Protect Wildlife Habitat

The Atlantic Forest is home to some 20,000 species of plant and some 2,000 animal species. Planting trees here helps restore one of the top five priority conservation areas in the world!

Promote Forest Management

Promote Forest Management

Our partners work with private land owners to promote sustainable land management. Planting trees gives land owners an incentive to protect the forest for years to come.

Support Critical Watersheds

Support Critical Watersheds

Planting trees in this region helps to restore critical watersheds to help provide clean air and water to the more than 120 million people who now live in and around the Atlantic Forest.
